Happening - Concert
Why this title:
Because children sing and the goal is that they hear them
beyond the borders of Bulgaria.
Because everyone has the possibility to break his own
"Berlin Wall".
Many official events in connection with
our adhesion at the European Union have been organized
BY and mainly FOR the adults. Through this project the
young generation and the students have been actively integrated
to these days of celebration. In collaboration with the
Town hall of Sofia, the "Shiny world" Foundation,
the embassy of Federal Republic of Germany in Bulgaria
and "Linde Gaz", the "Heritage" Foundation
organized a musical happening in which took part the best
solo and group performers from 12 schools (as many as
the European stars) PLUS some of the great Bulgarian pop-stars
- "They", Grafa, "Safo", Deo, Dicho.
A music stage was built near the National Palace of Culture
as well as a model of the Berlin wall monument made of
ice. While the kids and the pop-stars were singing the
ambassador of the Federal republic Germany, Mr. Michael
Gaier broke the first piece of the wall of ice. The young
people followed him and finished breaking the wall with
pleasure. Under it appeared the European flag. The concert
finished with the song "Let's break the silence",
which students and BG stars sang together. There were
fireworks as well.
The concert was filmed with many cameras; there's a DVD
video including the casting and the congratulations of
the participants and politicians to the young generation
of Bulgaria. This DVD video is offered to the schools
and Town hall of Sofia to serve as a gift for special
guests.
